The other reviewers are right - the lids fit tightly and don't leak. They are easy to wash, sturdy enough to be reusable, and affordable enough to give away or throw away.

I saw YouTube chefs using them -- I had been using Pyrex glass bowls with plastic tops -- which are great - but these are easier to pour from -- so better for soup. They take up minimal space in the cabinet and fridge.
